As a GI reporter for the 1st Air Cavalry Division in Vietnam, the author--"an enlisted man writing primarily for enlisted men"--chronicled the experiences of combat soldiers in newspaper and magazine articles. His stories gave the Army's version of events, sprinkled with human interest and humor. They include his observations and photographs of jungle missions, life on firebases, struggles in the rear and his own survival as a harried frontline journalist. He also wrote almost daily letters home to his parents--personal dispatches filled with frank commentary and poignant, at times disturbing, anecdotes. His stories and letters are combined here in chronological order, providing a richly detailed narrative of combat in Vietnam. 25th Infantry Division Association: Guestbook Entries Name: Christian Culleton Website: Referred by: From a Friend From: Chicago IL Time: 1999-08-12 22:34:39 Comments: I am deeply indebted to this page Lost and Found - Vietnam War Veterans This section is a World Wide Web Vietnam Veteran Location Service The purpose of this section is to help other Veterans and friends of Vietnam Veterans locate In Country - Stories of Vietnam from the Veterans who Thank you Governor Daugaard and to all the staff and volunteers who are working on the "Welcome Home" and the Vietnam War Memorial Dedication scheduled for 1968 2-12th INFANTRY- VIETNAM 1968 Overview During the year the battalion participate in the Tet Counteroffensive battles in the Spring and fought major battles in the Fall MACOI Military Assistance Command Vietnam - Office Of Biographies (Bios are in Alphabetical Order; Click Picture to Enlarge) Barry Abrams Barry Abrams in Saigon at left with his good friend John Mikesch; then Barry in Vietnam War Master Resource Guide - American War Library Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Display Recognition and Hardware Go ARMED FORCES EXPEDITIONARY MEDAL Display Recognition Go ARMED FORCES OF THE VIETNAM WAR Go Vietnam War - Through Pictures NOT CENSORED!
